    Class Structure 
    • TPKC will run the same classes as in 2017.
    • S1 and S2 will continue to be grouped together during practice and competition but scored separately. TPKC will not offer the newly proposed SKUSA Pro-Moto Class.
    • The engine spec section for X30 Junior has the following update: 125cc Electric Start 29mm Exhaust Manifold Part # X30125368A Effec 1/1/18 - 26mm

    In preparation for our 2018 racing season, please review the latest round of SKUSA RULEBOOK updates and clarifications, including:

    New SKUSA Membership/Licensing Information 

    Membership Term
    Starting with the 2018 racing season, SKUSA Memberships are now only valid from January 1st through December 31st. The following outlines the steps required for us to make this transition. We will udpate this language once we are through the transition.

    • If your current expiration date is between January 1, 2018 and June 30, 2018, your 2018 Membership Renewal will only be $50.
    • If your current expiration date is between July 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018, your 2018 Membership Renewal will be free.
    • There is a very small group of members left with expiration dates before Jan 1 2018, please select the $100 renewal option.

    In order to take advantage of this offer, SKUSA members MUST submit an online renewal during the renewal periods described below.

    • The transitional renewal period for members will be December 1, 2017 through January 31, 2018.
    • The transitional late renewal period will be February 1, 2018 through February 15, 2018. Late renewals will cost $125.
    • Renewals after February 15, 2018 will be treated as new memberships. New memberships will be $150.
    The SuperNationals are part of the National SKUSA Pro Tour, but also operates as a stand-alone race event. A one-event membership will again be offered at time of Supernats Registration and can be purchased in lieu of an Annual SKUSA membership.
    New NUMBERS

    CIK Kart Numbers
    Starting in 2018, SKUSA will be standardizing to CIK number specifications. This means solid yellow number panels and solid black numbers for all classes.

    SKUSA National Champions - may choose to run #1,2 or 3 in your regional class utilizing the same solid yellow number panels and solid black number requirement.
    2017 TPKC Champions - may choose to run #1,2 or 3 in your regional class utilizing the reverse: a solid black number panel and a solid yellow number following the same size requirements as stated in the rule book. NOTE: These number panels will only be allowed within the 2018 TPKC Series.


    No more letter designators.

    Reserved Numbers
    There will no longer be reserved race numbers with your memberships. Each class will be assigned a block of numbers and when you enter your first race of the TPKC series you will pick from any available numbers in that pool. That will then be your “reserved” number for the rest of that series. NOTE: You are likely to have a different number in the Winter Series, PKC, ProTour and SuperNat's so first come, first serve.

    Saturday Evening, January 9th, 2016 we will be having our TPKC Awards Banquet at Dallas Speedzone, 11130 Malibu Dr, Dallas, TX 75229, Social Hour (Cash Bar) starts at 6:00pm with a Mexican Fiesta Dinner to be served from 7:00pm to 8:00pm.

    Awards will be presented to 1st through 3rd place for all classes except for low entry count classes (DD2, DD2 Masters, S4, TaG Masters) which will award 1st place only. Drivers need to be present to receive any cash or merchindise awards!

    Tickets are $35 a person. Ticket purchase deadline is January 3rd, so we can give the caterer a head count to ensure enough food for everyone.

  • Champions Decided In Second Season of Texas ProKart Challenge

    Second year of Superkarts! USA and United States Rotax Max Challenge regional program sees great numbers and even better racing

    KATY, TX (December 13, 2013) – The Texas ProKart Challenge – presented by 3G Kart Racing/Burger King/Fernelius Alvarez Attorneys/Dallas Karting Complex – ended its sophomore season the weekend of October 4-6 with the final two rounds contested in New Orleans at the astonishing NOLA Motorsports Park. The 2013 season saw impressive growth from their inaugural season in 2012. US Rotax Max Challenge and Superkarts! USA racers filled the paddock at the some of the best karting circuits the southern portion of the country as to offer for a challenging 10-race championship chase that spanned five months of the calendar. Hosting great racing and an even better time by racers and their families that attended, the Texas PKC awarded more than $27,000 throughout the season in awards and prizes.

    The highlight prize of the season went to each champion. In nine classes that reached the qualifying entry numbers throughout the season, the Texas ProKart Challenge awarded the championship driver with a free entry to the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals XVII or the United States Rotax Max Challenge Grand Nationals, dependant on their class. Those in the SKUSA divisions will also earn a guaranteed starting spot on SuperSunday in Las Vegas this past November. With all the prizes, awards and prestige on the line, the racers of the Texas ProKart Challenge stepped up throughout the year to provide some of the best racing in North America.

    Scotsman turned Texan Ryan Kinnear claimed the class championship in the Pole Position/DR Kart S2 Semi-Pro Stock Moto division. Kinnear was always near the front throughout the 10 race season. After two podium finishes at the opening two rounds, Kinear scored his first win of the year in Katy at round three. Back-to-back wins at in Denton and Oklahoma along with a four more podium finishes, Kinnear locked up the S2 championship. Garrett Boone showcased his consistency throughout 2013 en route to the runner-up position in the point chase. Boone and Kinnear split weekends at Gulf Coast Karters in June and again at Oklahoma Motorsports Complex in August. During both weekends, the days that Boone was not the victor he ran a close second to Kinnear each time. Racing out of Tyler, Texas, Miguel Lopez secured third place on the championship podium. Lopez kicked 2013 off with a weekend as hot as a Texas summer at rounds one and two in Dallas. Lopez scored a perfect score on Saturday and came back to win the main event the following day. Lopez returned to the top step of the podium in late June at North Texas Karters and once again at the season finale in New Orleans.

  • TPKC Racers Tavella & Waithman Podium at Rotax World Finals Micro and Mini Invitational

    Texas ProKart Challenge racers, Dylan Tavella and Maxwell Waithman, finished first and second in the stacked MicroMax field at the 2013 Rotax Max World Final Micro and Mini Invitational race held at NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans, LA November 10-16, 2013. TPKC racers were well represented in both the Micro and Mini Max fields (Ethan Arndt, Emiliano Richards, Nicholas Brueckner, David Malukas, Parker Chase).
