The IAME Mini Swift is now the spec engine for the TaG Cadet category in the SKUSA Texas ProKart Challenge competition - FREE TRADE IN PROGRAM/ $995 ENGINES AVAILABLE!
With the successful introduction of the New IAME Mini Swift TaG Cadet engine with over 40 entries at the recent California ProKart Challenge event, the Texas ProKart Challenge is pleased to announce an incredible trade-in program to make sure that the new focus does not have a negative financial effect on our core group of customers. The Mini Swift, which is a 60cc air-cooled engine that utilizes a centrifugal dry clutch with an electric starter and a Tillotson carburetor, is now the future of SKUSA TaG Cadet racing.
To make this transition seamless and to remove any financial outlay, Superkarts! USA and the Texas ProKart Challenge will be offering two levels of product acquisition to its core racing families. First off, TPKC is offering a special direct trade-in program for the TPKC competitors who competed in either all three SKUSA Pro Tour or all of the Texas ProKart Challenge events in 2014. These preferred customers will have the option of turning-in their fully-operational Mini Rok engines for a free IAME Mini Swift. Should they have two Mini Rok engines, they are eligible to receive two free IAME power plants. If these core racers wish to keep their Mini Rok engines, they will be first in line to take part in the second level of the program, which will have engines to be sold at $995 each. Additionally, any family that commits to running the entire 2015 Texas ProKart Challenge will have the opportunity to purchase a Mini Swift at the $995 price point. These will be available at one per customer. Throughout the remainder of the 2015 season, a complete IAME Mini Swift package will then be available for $1495 to help launch the new program. In addition, for drivers wishing to run only the Pro Tour and/or the SuperNationals with a rental program, a number of IAME dealers will have Mini Swift rental programs available.

The following informational update regarding clutches – affects the TaG Junior, TaG Senior and TaG Master classes only.
A number of questions have arisen regarding the clutch configurations on the X30 engines. Here is updated information.
These changes minimize the chance of chain lubrication contaminating the friction surfaces, which could result in a penalty. We encourage the use of the latest drum and O-ring/bearing combination for this reason.
We have been reviewing our fuel policy for some time, and we appreciate the input many of you have given us. We have discussed this issue with numerous racers, engine builders and kart teams across the country, and appreciate everyone's candor and input. As a result of that input, we have decided to implement the following changes to our 2015 Spec Fuel program, effective immediately:
Additionally, as a test for the next two California Regional PKC events (Willow Springs and Buttonwillow), SKUSA/PKC will not be selling/providing any fuel. SKUSA/PKC will continue to sell/provide the Motul spec oil in 1 liter bottles for purchase at all events (as well as welcome racers to bring their own, as long as it is spec).
We hope that these program adjustments will be a welcome and successful transition for our racers as well as the kart shops and teams that support our program – especially as fuel is available thru most of these organizations. We also encourage racers to begin making arrangements now to acquire the necessary fuel for their next PKC-CA event.
One very important fuel restriction here will be:
Only sealed 5-gallon cans of fuel will be allowed to be brought into each PKC event described above. DUE TO LOCAL FIRE ORDINANCES and insurance restrictions, no 55-gallon drums will be allowed to be brought in.
Other SKUSA Regions may elect to continue to provide fuel at their events, so please consult their posted rules or inquire prior to those events.
SKUSA will continue to be the exclusive supplier of the fuel at the 2015 Pro Tour and SuperNationals events, and no fuel will be allowed to be brought into these events by the competitors or outside sources.
