Rock Island Grand Prix Offers Free Entries to Texas ProKart Challenge Winners!

rock island grand prix tpkcRock Island Grand Prix and the Texas Pro Kart Challenge have announced that winners at this year's Texas Pro Kart Challenge races will be eligible for a free entry at the 2014 Rock Island Grand Prix, presented by AT&T.

The Rock Island Grand Prix is offering free entries in an effort to attract as many competitors as possible to the celebration of its 20th anniversary. Drivers in specified classes in the first six races of the series will be eligible.

Free entries are limited to one per driver per season, are not transferable and must be applied to entry in the class in which they were won (TAG in the case of Rotax winners). With the exception of the August races, drivers using awarded entries are asked to register by July 31. Value of the entries is over $6,000. Pit passes, pit spots, etc., are not included.

Classes eligible include senior and masters stock moto classes (S1-S4), as well as TAG Junior, TAG Senior, TAG Masters, Rotax Junior, Rotax, Senior and Rotax Masters.

The theme of this year's 20th anniversary celebration is The Most Fun You Will Have in Karting, On and Off The Track.

The Rock Island Grand Prix, the world's largest karting street race, draws entries from throughout the United States and Canada, competing for one of karting's largest purses. It has also hosted racers from Italy, France, Colombia, Costa Rica, England, Argentina, Poland, Bermuda, the Philippines, Ireland and Mexico. It includes 15 feature races in 4-cycle, 2-cycle, TAG and gearbox classes as well as a Vintage class. Dates of this year's event are August 30-31.
